Welcome to the Ridley Park Police Department’s web site. I hope you find the information provided to be helpful. We are very proud of the job done everyday by the men and women of the department. The department prides itself on our officer’s education and training. In 2002 we officially adopted the community-policing concept of policing our community. Adding to our D.A.R.E. program, we now have a “Youth Aid Panel”, and sponsor several community educational programs each year. Our bike patrol provides extra protection for the business district, parks and schools, as well as the area of the lake.

Traffic safety is an important aspect of our job. The past four years the department has received funding for DUI and seat belt check- points. In addition, we have received funding for roving patrols for DUI’s, seat belt violators, as well as aggressive drivers. The department has a crash reconstruction expert, as well as an officer who is a certified technician in child safety seats. Our goal is to make the streets safe for vehicle and pedestrian travel.
