Welcome to the Ridley Park Police website. Ridley Park Borough is located in Delaware County Pennsylvania, just south of the Philadelphia International Airport. The population of the borough was 7,196 (2000 Census report), and encompasses 1.1 square miles. Within our borough we have (1) hospital, Taylor Hospital, and central business district, Interstate 95, several parks and the Ridley Lake, which is part of the Crum Creek.
The Ridley Park Police Department consist of 10 full-time and 4 part-time sworn officers, 2 Administrative Assistants, and 3 Parking Enforcement Officer. We maintain a fleet of 8 police vehicles, and are housed in a modern 5000 square foot station.
Our department is a community policing agency, and is very pro-active within our community. We offer various community based programs, such as D.A.R.E, a Youth Aid Panel for first time Juvenile offenders, Heroin Alert and Survival 101 programs. We also have a Child Passenger Safety Technician who can assist parents in properly installing a child safety seat in a vehicle.
We also have a mountain bike unit consisting of 2 bikes.
