OCTOBER POLICE REPORTS

SIMPLE ASSAULT/THEFT

A 13 year old male juvenile from Eddystone was taken to Lima Juvenile
Center on October 3rd. after assaulting school staff at Ridley Middle
School. Corporal Mark Bascelli and Patrolman Ian Cleghorn received a call
for a child who had assaulted an aid, then ran out of the school, and left
the area on a stolen bike. Officer Cleghorn located the subject on Dupont
Street and he was taken into custody without incident. He was on probation
from a prior incident.
 


FALSE IDENTIFICATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT

A 46 year old homeless man was arrested after refusing to leave an
apartment. Police were called on October 8th. at 8:06 p.m. to Ridley Park
Plaza apartments at 525 E. Chester Pike for a domestic fight. Upon arrival
of Corporal Bascelli and Officer Cleghorn they questioned a DARNEL BOICE, 46
years of age. Boice had no Identification . He was transported to Ridley Township Headquarters and fingerprinted on the Live Scan. His real name came back as William Boyce. He was arrested and charged with giving false information to law enforcement.
 


THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES

A juvenile petition has been filed against a 17 year old Ridley Park
male for to breaking into vehicles. The subject is observed on a
surveillance camera, entering a vehicle in the 400 block of Hillside Road.
An investigation by Corporal James Nasella led to the suspect being
identified. The items taken from the vehicle have been recovered. The
incident occurred on Oct. 20th. around midnight. The car was unlocked.


DOMESTIC ASSAULT

A 40 year old Ridley Park man was arrested on Oct. 20th. for a domestic
assault. Officers Frank D'Ambrosio and Marc Hanly responded to the area of
Rosemont and Hinckley for a reported assault in progress. Upon arrival they
were advised by two witnessed that a man, still on location had assaulted
the woman he was with, who turned out to be his wife. Francis Schloss, 40
from the 200 block of Henderson Ave. was taken into custody without
incident. He was charged with the assault and transported to Ridley Park
Police Headquarters and held for arraignment.


CURFEW VIOLATION

A 17 year old Norwood juvenile was stopped and cited for curfew on Oct.
22nd. at 1:48 a.m.. Corporal Robert Frazier was on routine patrol on Burke
Ave. when he spotted the male subject riding a bike. He claimed to be out
for a bike ride with an adult. He was transported home by Frazier and issued a citation
for curfew.
