JULY POLICE REPORTS

Damage to Vehicles

A vehicle was broken into while parked at the SEPTA station on W. Ridley Ave. and Crum Lynne. The vehicle was parked at 5:45 a.m. and picked up at 2 p.m. on July 1st. When the victim returned to his car, he noticed the rear wing window was smashed out and several items removed, including a radio and an IPOD.


Damage to Vehicles

Police have filed assault charges on a Prospect Park man for an assault at the Burgundy Lounge in the unit block of E. Hinckley Ave.. Officer Ted Woolery responded to the assault call at 1:52 a.m. on July 2nd. Upon arrival he found the victim with a head injury. Joseph MARINO from 1400 block of Prospect Ave., Prospect Park had left prior to officers arrival. The victim was treated for a face injury at Taylor Hospital. A Warrant has been issued for MARINO


Damage to Vehicles

Joseph BRAMANTI, 52, of the 100 block of W. Chester Pike is being held on $75,000 bail after being charged with assaulting his live in girlfriend. Police were called to his home on July 2nd. at 8:40 p.m. for a domestic fight. Upon arrival of Officer Ian Cleghorn, found the victim was covered in blood. She advised officers that BRAMANTI had struck her about the head and face with a frying pan. A check of the apartment found blood all over the interior of the unit. BRAMANTI had fled the scene. The victim was transported by ambulance to Taylor Hospital for her injuries. At 10:41 p.m. officers received information that BRAMANTI had returned to the apartment. A check of the building found BRAMANTI hiding in the basement. He is charged with assault and related charges.

 


Damage to Vehicles

Police are investigating threats made by phone at Taylor Hospital on July 3rd. at 3:17 a.m.. Corporal Robert Frazier received information that a male had called the hospital and made threats concerning a bomb. A suspect was tracked down and interviewed by Corporal Frazier. It was determined that the hospital was safe and no services were disrupted. Follow up investigation is being conducted by Det. Harry Snyder.


Damage to Vehicles

On July 13th, 2008 at approximately 0217 hrs, Officer Robert Quinlan observed a green Nissan Altima traveling west on Chester Pike and fail to stop for a red light at Hinkson Blvd. The vehicle was stopped and Officer Quinlan, as he approached the vehicle, noticed 2 open partially filled bottles of alcohol on the front passenger floor of the vehicle.

The driver was identified as Jerry CINTRON, 35 of Wilmington, Delaware. Officer Quinlan asked CINTRON if he had consumed any alcoholic beverages, to which he sated he had. CINTRON was removed from the vehicle and a pat down search of CINTRON was performed for the officer’s safety. As the officers were patting down CINTRON, he became very tense. He was asked if he had any weapons on his person, he replied he did but for his protection. As this point CINTRON began to struggle with the officers, and attempted numerous times to reach into his shorts. Officers Quinlan and Corporal Nasella were able to restrain CINTRON. A search of CINTRON found a loaded silver handgun in his rear pocket. CINTRON was placed under arrest and continued to resist the officers. He was charged with FIREARMS VIOLATIONS, SIMPLE ASSAULT, RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING ANOTHER PERSON, and TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS.

He was transported to the Ridley Park Police Station, and taken before the weekend judge, he was remained to Delaware County Prison.
