Several vehicles in town were damage in the early morning hours of Feb.
1st. Police were called to Tome Street, Haverford Road and also discovered damage to vehicles on E. Ridley Ave.. All the vehicles appeared to have had their windows shot out by an BB Gun. No projectiles
were located in the vehicles on the area. Other vehicles suffered similar
damage in Ridley Township, Prospect Park and Norwood. Police are asking for anyone with information to call 911 or their local police.

A stolen vehicle from Wildwood, New Jersey was recovered on Feb. 3rd. at
10:20 a.m.. Corporal John Morris was on routine patrol in the parking lot of
the Ridley Park Plaza Apartments in the 500 block of Chester Pike, when he
observed a red pick up with NJ tags with moderate front end damage.
While investigating he was advised by Delaware County Emergency Communications Center that the truck was stolen out of Wildwood. The vehicle was towed to the Police impound lot, andWildwood PD notified.

A 23 year old Secane man was charged with disorderly conduct on Feb. 2nd.
after a vehicle stop. Corporal John Morris and Officer Ted Woolery received a
call at 2:30 p.m. for illegal drug activity in a vehicle parked in the 300
block of Comerford Terr.. While checking the area, officers observed the
suspect vehicle on Hinkson Blvd. heading towards Chester Pike. They stopped
the vehicle on Chester Pike in the area of Madison Ave. in Prospect Park. Inside the vehicle police found the male operator and two female passengers. While speaking with
the driver officers observed a glass pipe, commonly used to smoke marijuana.
The driver admitted the pipe was his, but denied they were smoking marijuana.
The pipe had a strong odor of burnt marijuana, and what appeared to be
marijuana residue. A consent search was conducted on all three persons and
the vehicle and no drugs were found. All were released and a summons will be
issued for the driver.

After a two day investigation police have charged a 15 year old Ridley Township juvenile with criminal mischief and criminal trespass. Officer Ted Woolery responded to a report in the 200 block of Henderson Ave. on Feb. 5th. for a report of vandalism. Upon arrival he found that a parked truck had be "tagged" with three initials in black spray paint, also a garage of a neighbor was tagged. Later in the day, another incident was reported at the Ridley Middle School, same initials, in black paint. After a review of surveillance video and several interviews, a suspect was developed. The suspect was interviewed and did admit to the acts. Police are asking anyone else who may have been a victim to contact them at 610-362-7401.
An 18 year old Eddystone man was cited for Disorderly Conduct after police responded to a fight call at the 7-11 at 18 E.Hinckley Ave.. On Feb. 17th. at 4:23 p.m. officers were dispatched for a large fight in the parking lot. Upon arrival they found about 40 people in the parking lot. Two subjects ran from police and were apprehended. One of them, Joseph Harbaugh from the 200 block of Lexington Ave. was involved in the fight. Witnesses told officers that Harbaugh was the aggressor and that he had threatened the 15 year old Ridley Township juvenile he was fighting with.
A 15 year old Ridley Park juvenile was cited after police found him in the creek off of Hinckley Ave.. Officers Ted Woolery, Robert Hinckley and Steve Corsi entered the creek and moved him to the side of the waterway. Officers had responded to the area for a report of a subject yelling for help at 12:05 a.m. on Feb. 17th.. The subject was intoxicated and cited for under aged drinking. He was transported to CCMC for treatment and his parents were notified.
A 48 year old Woodlyn man was charged with DUI on Feb. 16th. at 9:19 p.m.. Patrick Mellon, from the 1400 block of MacDade Blvd. was stopped by Officer Steven Corsi traveling east on Chester Pike. As he approached the intersection of Chester Pike and Acres Drive he made a right turn nearly hitting two pedestrians in the cross walk. While speaking with the driver officers noticed he had a slurred speech and an odor of alcohol about his person. He was transported to Taylor Hospital for a blood test, and held at Ridley Park Headquarters until arraignment.
Police locked up a man wanted out of the City of Philadelphia after responding to a domestic call. On Feb. 16th. at 5:40 p.m. Corporal Mark Bascelli and Officer Robert Hinckley responded to a domestic at an apartment complex in the 200 block of W.Chester Pike. Upon investigating the incident, they discovered that one of the parties, Eugene Cortese, 39 years of age was wanted. He was taken into custody, transported to Ridley Park Headquarters and Philadelphia did respond.
A resident in the 400 block of Hillside Road reported that their home had been hit with paint balls. It is believed the incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 18th., as they report hearing noises at that time. Police were called at 8:36 a.m. on the 19th. when they discovered the damage. Anyone having information or being a victim of similar incident should contact the police department.
A 21 year old Philadelphia man working for "Working America" was arrested on Feb. 15th. after police discovered he was wanted out of Philadelphia. Corporal Mark Bascelli had responded to the unit block of Ward Street after receiving several complaints on solicitors. As he checked them out, he determined that they were ok with the Borough, however one man refused to give him his identification. A check found the man, Rodney Sherrod from N. Hope Street in Philadelphia was wanted. He was taken into custody without incident.
Two juveniles have been charged with drug possession after a vehicle stop. Officer Robert Quinlan was on routine patrol on Feb. 24th. at 12:28 a.m. when he observed a vehicle fail to stop for a steady red signal on Chester Pike at Hinkson Blvd.. The vehicle was occupied by three juveniles, one 15 year old female from Eddystone, a 16 year old male from the Leedom section of Ridley Township and the driver a 16 year old male from Secane. The officer detected a odor of alcohol coming from one of the passengers. He requested that they exit the vehicle and when they did he observed several bags of green vegetable matter in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle after the arrest netted another bag of suspected marijuana. Both subjects will be charged as juveniles and were released. The third passenger was issued citations and released into the custody of his mother.
Three juveniles were charged with Disorderly conduct after they broke a window with an ice ball on Friday night at 10:19 p.m.. All three are from the Woodlyn section of Ridley Township and were coming home from the dance at the Ridley Park Fire House. They juveniles broke the window in the unit block of W.Ward Ave. and then ran down Free to Dupont Street. They then attempted to run across the football field at the Ridley Middle School but were apprehended by police. Corporal James Nasella and Officer Robert Quinlan arrested the juveniles and citation for criminal mischief were issued..
