MISSING PERSON/CURFEW VIOLATION
On August 2nd, a 15 year old Ridley Park male and a 16 year old Ridley Township female were cited for curfew violation. The female had been reported missing to Ridley Township Police earlier in the night. Corporal Frazier cited the pair for violating the curfew ordinance at 5:04 a.m.., Ridley Township Police did return the girl to her parents, the boy was turned over to his mother.
THEFT
Two juveniles were taken into
custody and turned over to Ridley Township
Police for a variety of charges. Officer Steven Corsi was on routine patrol
on August 3rd. at 5:15 p.m. when he spotted two subjects who fit the
description of subjects wanted by Ridley Township police for a theft from
Home Depot. As he approached the subjects, one was taken into custody
without incident. The other ran, and was chased on foot by Officer Corsi. He
was taken into custody about seven blocks later without incident.
WARRANT
Joseph Bramanti, 51 of the 100
block of W.Chester Pike, Ridley Park was
taken into custody on a Delaware County bench warrant. Police had responded
to his home for a domestic disturbance on August 4th. at 12:15 p.m.. When
Officer Ian Cleghorn did a check on the subject, it was found that he was
wanted. He was taken into custody and transported to Delaware County prison
WARRANT
William Foote, 27 was taken
into custody on August 5th. while on the
payphone in the 200 block of W.Chester Pike. Foote, who was wanted by Nether
Providence Police was talking on the phone at 2:25 p.m. when spotted. He was
taken into custody without incident by Officer Ian Cleghorn and turned over
to the Nether Providence Police Department.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A wallet was stolen out of a
parked vehicle in the 400 block of Tasker
Street sometime between August 7th. and August 9th. The wallet contained
identification and credit cards.
ASSAULT/ATTEMPTED ROBBERY
Police are investigating an
assault and attempted robbery that occurred
in the 200 block of Stull Road. Police were dispatched to the call on August
7th. at 11:15 p.m.. Upon arrival police were advised by the victim that she
was unloading her car when two young men approached her, and pushed her into
the car door, causing her to fall. She kicked at the two subjects and they
ran off. Detective/Sergeant Harold J. Snyder is handling the case.
THEFT OF BICYCLES
Police were dispatched on
August 17th. to the 500 block of E.Hinckley
Ave. for a theft of bikes in progress. Taken was a black/gold stingray bike
with a banana seat. The victim was able to recover one of his bikes when a
suspect dropped it and ran towards the Amtrak railroad tracks. Police are
looking for a black male, approx. 12-14 of age, 5' tall, black hair and thin
build with a tee shirt and jean shorts, the other suspect is an Hispanic
male, 12-14 years of age, 6' tall, black hat and black pants. Anyone with
information are asked to call Ridley Park Police.
WARRANT SERVICE
James Warden, 27 from the
700 block of 14th. Ave. Prospect Park was
taken into custody in Chester City by Corporal Morris, Officer Steven Corsi
and Chester Police. Warden was wanted by Ridley Park Police on theft
charges. Warden had been wanted for a theft from Taylor Hospital Emergency
room in July. After taking him into custody it was discovered he was also
wanted on a Delaware County Bench Warrant.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Police are investigating the
theft of a motor vehicle from the police
impound lot. A vehicle was towed by officers on August 19th.. On August
20th. someone cut the lock off the gate and removed the car. The entire
incident was captured on video, and an arrest is expected.
